ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a key member of our Facilities Management Team, the Fuel Asset Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of fuel assets across our 500+ sites nationally. You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, including work orders, contractor relationships, and invoicing, while also supporting both internal and external stakeholders.

 

In addition, this role involves analysing performance data and developing strategic initiatives to drive improvements across fuel-related trades and profit and loss, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency throughout the network.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES IN A SNAPSHOT

Reporting directly to the Head of Operations and Maintenance, you will:

  • Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and manage reactive and discretionary work orders to ensure optimal performance of fuel assets.
  • Maintain accurate and timely operational and maintenance reporting across our national network.
  • Coordinate assessment and processing of vendor invoices.
  • Act as the national point of contact for; Autogas installations, Fuel system installations and Trade waste and oily water treatment.
  • Manage contracts and contractors delivering operations and maintenance services.
  • Provide real-time updates to state-based teams on outstanding maintenance issues to support timely resolution.
  • Assist with managing contractor certification and compliance with SH&E (Safety, Health & Environment) requirements.
  • Develop and lead programs/projects related to fuel and forecourt operations, with a focus on uptime and volume growth.
  • Support a structured continuous improvement framework to capture, evaluate, and implement opportunities that enhance performance, efficiency, and customer value.

 

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Experience managing multiple trades within a Facilities Management environment.
  • Industry experience in petroleum, convenience retail, or quick-service restaurants is highly regarded.
  • Strong procurement skills and commercial acumen, with the ability to manage vendor relationships and contracts effectively.
  • Proven experience managing multi-site work orders, including planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to report on asset performance, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • A flexible, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage both routine and ad hoc tasks in a fast-paced environment.
