ABOUT EG

We have been on a journey to set our stores up to be a best in class retail destination through more than just our fuel - expanding our convenience and premium food-to-go offers! In 2023, we have fully converted our network of 530 sites from Woolworths Caltex to EG Ampol.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Health, Safety and Environment Specialist to join our Safety team and partner with the business areas to drive continuous improvement and excellence in HSE systems and culture across EG Australia.
This role will be based in Melbourne and reports directly to the Head of HSE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high level HSE support and actively partner with key stakeholders to deliver improved performance
- Support the development and delivery of ongoing HSE continuous improvement initiatives in line with the HSE Strategy
- Coach and guide Operational Managers and other key stakeholders in the implementation of HSE initiatives and processes across Health, Safety, Risk, Environment, Security and Food Safety
- Advise and support the management of organisational risk relating to HSE matters, including the identification and management of emerging or systemic risks
- Lead and support Operations Management in conducting serious and high potential near miss incident investigations
- Act as the primary contact and technical expert for all relevant Health and Safety, Environmental and Food Safety regulatory agencies, including external notifications
- Complete HSE reporting for EG Australia and global EG Group, as well as incident trending and analysis to support business needs as required
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary Qualifications in HSE or related discipline
- A minimum of five years’ experience in advisor-level HSE role in a multi-site environment, preferably in similar industry or risk profile
- Adept at delivering practical and effective risk-based solutions that meet business needs
- A great team player able to work collaboratively with business stakeholders in building support and ownership of HSE initiatives and practices
