ABOUT THE ROLE
The Lease Administration Manager leads the end‑to‑end lease administration function for EG Australia’s national property portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strong governance.
The role oversees all lease obligations, key dates, financial commitments and property data, while managing MRI optimisation, rental payments, reviews, reconciliations and documentation. Partnering with Property, Finance, Legal and senior leaders, this role drives process improvements and supports accurate forecasting and long‑term portfolio sustainability.
This position is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract and reports directly to the National Property and Network Planning Manager .
RESPONSIBILITIES IN A SNAPSHOT:
- Lead a high‑performing Lease Administration team, ensuring accuracy, compliance and exceptional service.
- Oversee end‑to‑end lease administration across 500+ sites, including payments, reviews, renewals and critical dates.
- Manage CPI escalations, rent and market reviews, lease variations and renewals in alignment with contractual and commercial requirements.
- Ensure strong governance, data integrity and system accuracy across MRI and related platforms.
- Manage financial processes: landlord invoices, reconciliations, on‑charges, budgeting and forecasting support.
- Drive system and workflow improvements to increase efficiency, control and reporting capability.
- Act as a key contact for landlords, tenants and internal stakeholders, providing clear insights and reporting.
- Ensure secure, compliant and accessible lease documentation and records.
- Monitor and manage risk by proactively identifying issues related to lease obligations, dates and financial commitments.
- Support strategic property decisions through accurate data, analysis and portfolio reporting.
- Maintain compliance with legislation, internal policies and audit requirements.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial property or lease administration, including 2+ years in a leadership or senior coordination role.
- Strong understanding of leasing principles, commercial agreements, outgoings and property‑related financial processes.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management systems (MRI highly regarded).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and sound decision‑making abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex deadlines within a high‑volume portfolio.
- Excellent communication, time management and attention to detail.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, property, finance or a related field (preferred).
- Background in fuel, retail or FMCG sectors beneficial.
