ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Promotions Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, execution, and evaluation of EG Australia’s promotional programs. Your responsibilities will include managing the monthly promotions calendar, analysing performance data, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
You will also contribute to effective communication, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration within EG’s commercial team to ensure promotional initiatives are impactful and aligned with broader business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Retail Programs Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and aligning the monthly Promotions Calendar, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic consistency
- Leading the execution and post-analysis of promotional trials
- Analysing monthly promotional performance data and identify key insights
- Supporting the creation of a performance dashboard to track results, mix, and asset allocation
- Facilitate post-promotional reviews with the commercial team to drive continuous improvement
- Assisting with annual promotional slotting and planning processes
- Preparing compelling presentations and visual reports to communicate insights
- Co-developing clear, effective store communications in partnership with the Retail Programs Manager
- Supporting retail compliance reviews and other initiatives as required
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We’re after a detail-oriented, data-savvy professional who is passionate about turning numbers into insights and driving commercial impact. The ideal candidate will bring:
- A sharp eye for detail and a strong analytical mindset
- Proficiency in Excel, with exposure to data visualisation tools like Power BI
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks around key promotional deadlines
- Clear, professional written communication and a proactive approach to collaboration
- A growth mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment
- A solid understanding of accounting principles and commercial best practices
- Prior experience in business analysis or retail is highly desirable
