Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA – Office Based
Contract: Full-Time / 12 Month Fixed term Contract.

About the Role:
We have a new exciting opportunity within our Utilities Team! We are seeking a determined Energy Manager to oversee and enhance our organisation’s energy consumption, identify energy-saving potentials and implement sustainable energy practices across our sites.
What you’ll be doing:
- Set up and run the energy management system.
- Monitor and analyse energy consumption data.
- Prepare and perform energy audits
- Develop and implement sustainable energy practices across sites
- Ensure the integration of energy-efficient technologies and processes into daily operations.
- Create awareness among employees about energy conservation and sustainability.
- Develop and implement communication strategies and training programs
- Collect, monitor, and analyse energy consumption data.
- Use statistical and correlation analyses to identify energy-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with Benelux and German energy legislation.
- Stay updated on legal requirements and industry standards related to energy management.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote and persuade the adoption of energy-efficient processes and technologies.
- Use strong communication and influence skills to drive energy efficiency initiatives across the organization.
What we’re looking for:
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate with various departments to promote energy efficiency.
Role requirements:
- Degree level desirable. BA/BSC.
- Experience in utilities sector (but not essential).
- Technical background, preferably in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of energy management systems and energy-efficient technologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis, including statistical and correlation analyses.
- Ability to interpret energy consumption data and identify trends.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and persuade various stakeholders to adopt energy-efficient practices.
- Proven experience in energy management.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong commitment to sustainability.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
