About the Role:
Cumberland Farms is looking for a Credit Analyst to join our Transaction Shared Service Centre. You will support the Credit Manager and Credit Control team, while also working closely with the wider Accounts Receivable function to maximise cash collection, minimise credit risk and support the delivery of key performance targets.
The role will cover credit risk management, account monitoring, debt collection and reporting, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and Credit Management projects. You will also build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and customers, providing a proactive and professional approach to credit control.

What you’ll be doing:
- Monitor new customer account set-up, including setting and reviewing credit limits and assessing required security.
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, proactively chasing outstanding debt and maintaining accurate records of collections and payment promises.
- Review and analyse aged debt, identifying high-risk accounts and escalating issues where required.
- Maintain security records and ensure relevant information is accurately updated within ERP systems.
- Support the resolution and escalation of customer queries, working closely with internal teams and customers.
- Prepare monthly trade debtor reconciliations, bad debt provisions and bad debt reporting.
- Initiate legal action against debtors where required and support the Credit Management team with relevant projects.
- Provide support and cover for Credit Control Team Leaders when required.

What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience working within Credit Control, with a good understanding of credit risk management.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to review financial information and identify areas requiring action.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences.
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems; SAP experience would be advantageous.
- A proactive and organised approach, with good time management and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
